Child health clinic

We at the child health clinic will work with you to monitor the child's growth and development and support the well-being of the whole family.

Child health clinic nurses and doctors monitor and support the physical, mental and social growth and development of children under school age together with the parent. We support parenting and the parents' relationship.

You will meet the nurse and doctor about 20 times for age-specific check-ups. During the meetings, we will discuss the family's well-being and health habits and any questions concerning the family.

We will give the child vaccinations in accordance with the national vaccination programme in connection with check-ups.

You can book an age-specific check-up appointment in Maisa. The duration of the appointments varies from about half an hour to two hours.

We offer additional appointments at the child health clinic according to your family's individual needs. We can also direct the child or family to other services for families with children.

You can contact us in Maisa if your child is a Helsinki maternity and child health clinic client. Otherwise, please contact the clinic's telephone or chat service.

The service is free of charge.
