Baby's visits to the child health clinic

Your baby will have their first appointments at the child health clinic during their first weeks of life. If your baby is the first in your family, a public health nurse will visit you at home for the first appointment.

Our objective is to ensure your baby is healthy and support your whole family so that your child would have most favourable conditions for growth, development and wellbeing.

At the child health clinic, we monitor and examine your child's growth and development and discuss your family's health habits as well as any questions you may have.

We will also give your baby the vaccinations required by the Finnish national vaccination programme.

See the national vaccination programme by age on the website of the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare
