Our schools have nurses, welfare officers and psychologists to provide support and help with problems and difficulties. The wellbeing of students is the responsibility of all adults at the school.
You can find the contact details of the school nurse, school social worker and psychologist of each school on the school’s website. You can contact them via Wilma or by phone.
If your child falls ill and needs care, contact your health station. The best way to reach health care professionals on urgent matters regarding your child is to call your health station’s telephone number directly.

You can also contact the health station via Maisa in non-urgent matters. Send a message on behalf of your child to their designated health care team. We will get back to you within a few days.

If your child falls ill in the evening, at night or during the weekend and needs urgent assessment or treatment, call the Medical Helpline. A health care professional will assess your child’s situation and refer you to the right clinic.
Libraries, youth centres and primary schools organise free programmes for elementary-aged children across Helsinki. By choosing ‘Hobbies’ you can also find affordable weekly activities from local offerings.
