Helsinki’s new building ordinance entered into force on 7 June 2023
The City of Helsinki’s building ordinance is the code regulating building in addition to plans. It stipulates, among other things, what can be built and repaired without a permit from the Building Control Services. The new building ordinance is applied to matters that are in progress after its entry into force.
The customer instructions of the City of Helsinki’s Building Control Service are being updated due to the new building ordinance. The aim is to publish the updated instructions by the end of June.
