If you are burdened by anxiety, insomnia or a risk of excessive substance abuse, you can come to a nurse's appointment to receive help for your situation.
When you seek help, mental health professionals will assess your support needs.
Your treatment plan may consist of forms of treatment such as: online therapy, brief therapy, Kela rehabilitation therapy, group work, medical treatment, detoxification, etc.
You should seek help if, for example
- you rarely feel joy
- you experience recurring anxiety
- you often have negative thoughts about yourself or life
- you regularly use substances
- you have difficulties with everyday life or relationships.
If you have suicidal thoughts or feel unsafe before starting treatment, contact a health care professional for an assessment without delay.
- Weekdays during office hours: see the instructions on the ‘Urgent care at health stations’ page
- Evenings and weekends: see the instructions on the ‘Emergencies and emergency services’ page
