From Monday 3 August 2026 onwards, the Helsinki Diabetes Centre will operate at two locations. The eastern location is located on Siilikuja in Herttoniemi, and the western location is on Paciuksenkatu in Meilahti. Operations at the Kalasatama and Vuosaari locations have ceased.

Diabetes centre

Diabetes monitoring for patients with type 1 diabetes takes place at our diabetes centre. At the diabetes centre we also treat patients with type 2 diabetes who need specialised health care.

You become a customer of the diabetes centre with a referral. If you are being monitored at a health station for type 1 diabetes, contact the health station when the next monitoring visit is due. A doctor or nurse will make a referral to the diabetes centre.
