Urgent and emergency care

If you need urgent care in the evening or at a weekend, you can contact the Malmi Joint Emergency Department and the Meilahti Joint Emergency Department.

On weekdays, during the opening hours of health stations, you can receive help from your local health station. At health stations, our urgent care services are available on weekdays at 8:00-16:00.

In evenings, at weekends and on national holidays, you can go to the Malmi Joint Emergency Department or the Meilahti Joint Emergency Department. Emergency care for children and young people under the age of 16 are available in evenings and at weekends at the New Children's Hospital.

Please call the free Medical Helpline number 116 117 before visiting a health station or emergency department. You can also assess your need for care and receive care instructions in the Omaolo service.

If you have a life-threatening emergency, please call the emergency number 112.
