Travel vaccinations are subject to a fee. You need to purchase the vaccines in advance and bring them with you to your booked vaccination appointment.

Obtaining a prescription
Check country-specific vaccination recommendations and protect yourself well in advance of your trip.
If you would like to receive travel vaccinations at your health station, please contact us via Maisa, chat or phone 3 months before your departure. This will ensure enough time to receive a prescription and complete any required vaccination series.
- Fill in the Long-Distance Traveller's Vaccination Inquiry form "Kaukomatkailijan rokoteselvitys " (docx, in Finnish).
- Send the completed form to your health station via a Maisa message. Go to Maisa(Link leads to external service)
- After we receive your message, we will contact you with further instructions.
Log in using strong identification (online banking credentials, mobile certificate, or certificate card). Children over 10 can use Maisa with their own credentials.

Friday and the day before public holidays, from 8.00–15.00
If the lines are busy, you can leave a callback request. We aim to return your call the same day. If the request is made in the afternoon, the call may be returned the next day. If we are unable to reach you the first time, we will try again. The callback may also occur over the weekend between 8.00–16.00.

Booking a vaccination appointment
- Check available appointment times through the Maisa service or by calling your own health station’s phone service. Go to Maisa(Link leads to external service)
- Bring your Kela card or an official ID with you to the vaccination.
- Buy your vaccines in advance and bring them with you to the appointment. Check with the pharmacy that the vaccines can be given at the same time. If you are receiving multiple vaccines, please book a separate appointment for each one.
Please note that a penalty fee is charged to people over 18 for missed appointments and appointments that have not been cancelled in time. Read more about cancelling an appointment
Vaccination appointment times in Maisa are limited, so book early.
- Visit www.maisa.fi(Link leads to external service) or open the Maisa app.
- Log in using strong identification (online banking credentials, mobile certificate, or certificate card). Individuals over the age of 10 can use Maisa with their own credentials.
- Open the Menu, then select Appointment Booking > Book an Appointment > Health Station Appointment Booking. Please note: You can only book appointments at your own health station.
- Select Vaccination (not COVID-19).
- Choose a suitable time from the available options.
- Press the Confirm appointment button.
- You can view the details of your upcoming appointments on the Events page in Maisa.
