Autumn 2025 influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations

Appointment booking for influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations opens for people aged 65 and over on 16 September in Maisa and on 17 September by phone, tel. +358 9 310 46300. Unfortunately, Maisa mistakenly released information suggesting that vaccination appointments were already available. Some appointments were briefly available in Maisa. If you managed to book an appointment, you do not need to book a new one.

For those under 65, appointment booking opens on 8 October in both Maisa and by phone.

Day Unit for Affective Disorder Services

The Day Unit offers individually tailored treatment programmes and intensified support for patients in need.

The  Day Unit offers individually tailored treatment programmes and intensified support for patients in need, supplementing the treatment at psychiatric outpatient clinics.

The length of the treatment programme, 1-10 weeks, is (re)assessed flexibly according to individual situations and needs. The unit has a wide range of professionals, including doctors, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists and experts by experience.

A treatment plan is drafted with the patient in the first multiprofessional meeting. It can be reassessed and updated throughout the treatment programme.

Treatment requires motivation, abstinence and commitment to the jointly created treatment plan. The week programme consists of group activities, individual appointments with various professionals, regular treatment meetings and, if necessary, monitoring of medication. During group activities, patients will practise, among other things, medication-free anxiety management skills. We also arrange care and support network meetings.

The Day Unit is open on weekdays between 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. In the evenings and on weekends patients can contact the unit's Mobile Outpatient Service when necessary.

Personnel in our Mobile Outpatient Service offer immediate support via telephone, appointments at our facilities or the patient's own environment (i.e. home or other private place), remote appointments via telephone or as a video appointment when needed.

The Mobile Service can be (and most often is) provided independently too, without a treatment period at the Day Unit. As a separate service, the Mobile Outpatient Service has its own booking instructions.

We provide services for the City of Helsinki psychiatric outpatient clinic patients with a diagnosed affective disorder. Our services require a doctor's referral.

Daily charge is EUR 30.70.
