Influenza vaccinations in Helsinki

1. Open the Maisa app or go to www.maisa.fi(Link leads to external service).
2. Log in by using strong authentication, either with your online banking credentials, a mobile certificate or a certificate card.
3. People aged 75 and over will see a booking permission on the Maisa home page stating Book an appointment for your influenza and COVID-19 vaccination. Click Schedule now.
4. Click Book appointment. Select the health station at which you want to have an appointment. You will see the health stations in your area that offer vaccinations.
5. Choose a time that suits you from the options provided.
6. Check your phone number.
7. Finally, click the Verify appointment button.
8. You can find the details of your upcoming appointment on the Events page of Maisa.

If you are also in the target group for the COVID-19 vaccine, please book just one vaccination appointment. You will get your influenza and COVID-19 vaccines at the same time.
4. Click Book appointment. Select the health station at which you want to have an appointment. You will see the health stations in your area that offer vaccinations.
5. Choose a time that suits you from the options provided.
6. Check your phone number.
7. Finally, click the Verify appointment button.
8. You can find the details of your upcoming appointment on the Events page of Maisa.

3. Go to the menu. Next, select Book Appointment and then Booking an appointment for influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations. You can only book an appointment in your own health station area.
4. In the next section, select which vaccination you would like to book an appointment for. The options are Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination, Influenza vaccination and COVID-19 vaccination. Please check whether you are eligible for the vaccinations before booking your appointment.
5. Select the unit at which you want to have an appointment. You will see either the units offering vaccinations in your local health station area or your own maternity and child health clinic.
6. Choose a time that suits you from the options provided.
7. Finally, click the Verify appointment button.
8. You can find the details of your upcoming appointment on the Events page of Maisa.

People over the age of 10 can use Maisa with their own credentials.

• The wards at Helsinki City Hospital, senior centres and service homes in Helsinki will handle the vaccination of their own clients.
• Home care clients who are unable to visit a health station to be vaccinated will receive their vaccination through home care. Their informal caregivers may also receive the vaccine at the same time if they belong to a target group for vaccination. Home care will also vaccinate those receiving informal care who are not registered as home care clients and who are unable to visit a health station to be vaccinated. If necessary, please contact your client advisor. Home care will contact its clients and organise the vaccinations, including for clients of outsourced home care services.
• This group will receive their vaccinations in October–November 2026.

• Pregnant people and children between 6 months and 6 years of age can receive their influenza vaccinations during health checks or by separate appointment.
• If you have an appointment for a health check between 19 October 2026 and 26 February 2027, you will receive the vaccination during your health check.
• You can also receive a vaccination on a separate appointment between 2 November 2026 and 13 November 2026. Appointment booking for the separate appointments will be available from 7 October onwards via Maisa and by telephone on +358 9 310 555 30, Mon–Fri 8.00–14.00.

Students eligible for influenza vaccination can enquire about vaccination appointments from 19 October 2026 onwards with the school nurse at their own educational institution.

• Students eligible for influenza vaccination will be vaccinated at their own school or at the Centralised Unit of School Health Care. The vaccines will be administered by appointment.
• The school nurse at your school will provide information on the vaccination schedule and how to book an appointment in a separate notice. Please follow your school’s communications regarding vaccinations.
