Learn how and in which contact channels of health stations you can act on behalf of your child or adult relative.
You can find your health station and its phone number in the Find your health station service.
Acting on behalf of a child by phone or at a health station
- As a parent or guardian, you can usually act on behalf of your minor child by phone without separate authorisation, unless specific restrictions apply. A child over the age of 12 can choose to prevent their information from being shared with their parents or guardians if a healthcare professional determines that they have the capacity to make that decision.
- In exceptional cases (for example, if there is a custody agreement), there may be restrictions.
Acting on behalf of an adult by phone or at a health station
- Written authorisation provided to the relevant health station is always required to act on behalf of an adult. This must be submitted to the adult’s own health station.
