Self-measurement locations at health stations

At health stations' self-measurement locations, you can take measurements related to your health. We have two types of services: 'Ite' spots and comprehensive self-measurement points. You can also do a Omaolo health check at the self-measurement points.

You can measure your blood pressure at an 'Ite' self-measurement spot. At Vuosaari and Kalasatama Health and Wellbeing Centres, you will find MedicubeX self-measurement points where you can carry out more extensive examinations and complete an Omaolo health check.

‘Ite’ spots at health stations

Every health station has an ‘Ite’ self-measurement spot that you can use during the health station's opening hours. The spots provide information about self-care and allow you to measure your blood pressure.

MedicubeX self-measurement points

Vuosaari and Kalasatama Health and Wellbeing Centres offer self-measurement points for more extensive testing. You can use the points to

  • measure your blood pressure
  • measure your heart rate
  • measure your oxygen saturation and respiratory rate
  • measure your temperature
  • measure your weight and analyse your body composition
  • produce an electrocardiogram (ECG), which provides information about the functioning of your heart
  • receive an AGE value which indicates how blood sugar has affected your body over a long period of time.

See reference values for the results (MedicubeX). (Link leads to external service)

You do not have to book the machine in advance to use it. The measurement takes about five minutes, and you will receive a printout of the results. The self-measurement points are located on the first floors in the lobbies.

Afterwards, you can complete an Omaolo health check

If you want to, you can carry out the Omaolo Health Check after the measurements to get a comprehensive picture of your lifestyle and mental wellbeing. For the health check, you will need identify yourself electronically via online banking credentials or mobile certificate. The Omaolo Health Check takes about 20 minutes.

How to proceed

  1. You can complete the Omaolo health check directly on the self-measurement station’s screen after authentication.
  2. If the health check indicates any health risks, you can send it from Omaolo directly to your health station. If you would like to save your replies or contact health services, please identify yourself electronically via online banking credentials or mobile certificate.
  3. Your measurement results will automatically be attached to the health check.
