For urgent matters, please contact your local health station during office hours or the Medical Helpline +358 116 117 in the evenings and at weekends.
In case of a life-threatening emergency, call the emergency number 112.
Telephone health service no longer available – help still offered in other ways
The City of Helsinki's non-urgent 24-hour telephone health service (tel. +358 9 310 10023) ended on 1 April 2026.
Online health guidance for residents of Helsinki is provided by the Omaolo ( omaolo.fi(Link leads to external service)) and Health Village ( terveyskyla.fi(Link leads to external service)) online services, as well as the City of Helsinki health and social services website (www.hel.fi/en/health-and-social-services) and its chatbot.
For urgent health advice, you can also contact health stations, school and student health services, Mieppi mental health services and Senior Info (www.hel.fi/health-and-social-services).
On Monday to Friday you can visit a health station for urgent health matters. In the evenings, at night and at weekends, help and advice on urgent matters is available by calling the 24-hour Medical Helpline at 116 117.
