During oral health check-ups, we always assess the occlusion of your teeth, meaning the way your teeth align. We correct severe cases of malocclusion with orthodontic treatment. Children and young people between the ages of 6 and 17 form the largest age group among orthodontic patients. Orthodontic treatment is free of charge for patients under the age of 18.
The most severe cases of malocclusion are treated by specialised healthcare services. If your malocclusion requires specialised healthcare, we will provide you with a referral.
If your occlusion is not severe enough to make you eligible for municipal orthodontic treatment, you can purchase treatment from a private dental clinic.
Orthodontic treatment is a long-term commitment, as it may take several years. We will explain the objective of the treatment and the treatment plan to you before we start the treatment.
