Service counselling and social guidance at service centres

The service centres' social counsellors can provide you with information on our services and the different kinds of support you can seek in various life situations.

On this page

Come and visit us at the service centre to discuss your situation. Our social counsellors will provide you with information on the services meant for you and guide you in applying for benefits. We will support you in facing everyday challenges.

We are very familiar with the service centres' diverse activities, and are happy to provide you with more information. We are also familiar with the City's other services and what associations have to offer.

You can meet with a social counsellor when you visit a service centre, or you can book an appointment in advance. You can find the contact information on the pages of the service centres.

The service is free of charge.

We provide service counselling and social guidance at all our service centres.

Do you already have a service centre card?

You can get a free service centre card from the service centres' information desk if you are retired or unemployed living in Helsinki.

When applying for the service centre card, you can prove your retirement with an earnings-related pension card or a pension or benefit decision. If you are currently not working and you are registered as an unemployed job seeker, you can apply for a service centre card on the basis of unemployment. You can print out a certificate of the validity of your job seeking from the TE Service’s E-services (webpage in Finnish)(Link leads to external service)
