Day activities help you cope with everyday life at home, as well as maintains your functional capacity and your social relationships. Our services are aimed at Helsinki residents living at home who have challenges with their memory or functional capacity. The services also help relatives and informal caregivers to cope.
Day activities Louhi operates at the Vuorensyrjä Service Home in Jakomäki. The Vuorensyrjä Service Home and Louhi are part of the Syystie Senior Centre.

You can access our services via a service needs assessment. You can apply for day activities by contacting Senior Info. If you are already a client of home care or informal care and would like to take part in day activities, please contact your designated worker. Find out more about service needs assessments.
As a rule, you will take part in the activities once a week, either for a whole day or a half day. The activities are subject to a fee, and the fee includes meals. If necessary, we can arrange group transport to the day activities and back home. In this case, the client fee for the day activities will be higher. Read more about fees.
Day Activities Louhi provides elderly people with a safe and warm place to spend their day and meet other people. During the day, we get together in groups to talk, reminisce, and do some art, for example. We also enjoy physical activity and music, go outside, and play games together.
We bring a healthy balance of rhythm and variety to your days. We encourage you to get active and participate in our group activities. Everyone can participate in our activities according to their own abilities.
