Day activities help you cope with everyday life at home, as well as maintains your functional capacity and your social relationships. Our services are aimed at Helsinki residents living at home who have challenges with their memory or functional capacity. The services also help relatives and informal caregivers to cope.

You can access our services via a service needs assessment. You can apply for day activities by contacting Senior Info. If you are already a client of home care or informal care and would like to take part in day activities, please contact your designated worker. Find out more about service needs assessments.
As a rule, you will take part in the activities once a week, either for a whole day or a half day. The activities are subject to a fee, and the fee includes meals. If necessary, we can arrange group transport to the day activities and back home. In this case, the client fee for the day activities will be higher. Read more about fees.
Day Activities Centre Ilon Pilke offers elderly people in South Helsinki a nice and safe place to spend a day together. The activities are aimed at elderly people with a memory disorder or other illness which limits their functional capacity. We have practical nurses and a visiting physiotherapist.
Our days are filled with many kinds of meaningful activities. We bake, do crafts and spend time together talking and reminiscing. Outdoor activities are an important part of everyday life, and we go outside regularly to enjoy fresh air and the environment. We also arrange many kinds of functional activities and light exercise during the day.
The most important thing for us is that our clients are comfortable and can spend their day in good company. We work with a smile and a twinkle in our eye, just as our name suggests. Day Activities Centre Ilon Pilke is a part of the Töölö Senior Centre.
