We can grant you coaching if you require support in order to learn new skills for an independent life or strengthen your existing skills. You can also receive coaching for various changes in your life.
The coaching is always goal-oriented and provided for a fixed period of time.
The coaching may involve things such as the following:
- practising your information and practical skills and social interaction
- teaching sign language or providing guidance in the use of means of communication that support or replace speech
- providing support when there is a change in your functional capacity, environment or family situation
- providing mobility guidance or guidance in the use of an assistive device or arranging a housing trial.
You can receive coaching if you are unable to receive similar coaching in the form of medical rehabilitation.
You can apply for the service by filling in the disability service application form and delivering it to the service point of the Social Work for People with Disabilities Unit in your area.
