Multicultural activities at service centres

Service centres offer the opportunity to participate in multicultural discussion or exercise groups.

The service centres have multicultural groups where you can meet new people and learn Finnish. For example, you can choose between discussion, exercise and crafts groups and Finnish language courses.

Multicultural activities are offered at several service centres. Please ask the service centres' social instructors about the groups. Let's find the activities that suit you best together!

Participation is free of charge. You need a service centre card to access the service. You can get a card free of charge from the service centres' information desk.

To browse the upcoming groups, please visit the Finnish version of this website. Go to the Finnish version

Do you already have a service centre card?

You can get a free service centre card from the service centres' information desk if you are retired or unemployed living in Helsinki.

When applying for the service centre card, you can prove your retirement with an earnings-related pension card or a pension or benefit decision. If you are currently not working and you are registered as an unemployed job seeker, you can apply for a service centre card on the basis of unemployment. You can print out a certificate of the validity of your job seeking from the TE Service’s E-services (webpage in Finnish)(Link leads to external service)
