Institutional care

We provide 24-hour care and treatment in institutional care units. Institutional care can either be long-term or short-term.

Long-term institutional care is for you if the 24-hour care you require cannot be provided at your home or as 24-hour service housing.

In addition to medical and health care, long-term institutional care includes, for example, meals, medicines, care supplies and services that promote social well-being, such as recreational trips.

During the short-term assessment and rehabilitation period, we support, for example, elderly people living at home or those about to be discharged from the hospital. In addition, short-term care can support the resources of people caring for their loved ones.

We organise various events and cultural activities in our institutional care units. The staff includes practical nurses, registered nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social instructors and cultural counsellors.

We provide short- and long-term institutional care at the senior centres of Kivelä, Koskela and Kustaankartano. We also provide long-term institutional care as an outsourced service.

We are gradually moving away from long-term institutional care towards 24-hour care in group homes.

Further information about the service is available from Senior Info.

The service is subject to a charge.
