In the future, city residents will be served smartly, anticipating their service needs even before those needs arise. Digitalisation helps to streamline the everyday lives of city residents and makes our city function even more smoothly.

Building the Helsinki of the future 

  • Customer-oriented digital services. Customer-oriented electronic services are a priority in both internal and external processes. Services provided by the city are easy to access, not matter what the time or place. The development of anticipatory services and services that proactively prevent problems is accelerated.
  • Productivity and knowledge-based management. Digitalisation enables enhanced productivity when it comes to service production and the cost-effective development of better services. Helsinki is led with knowledge and targeted expertise.
  • People-centred data. Helsinki believes strongly in the people-centric principle, whereby residents of the city determine the terms and conditions by which their personal data is being used.
