Join the customer community

The City of Helsinki's customer community is an online community where residents can participate in the development of services.
Depending on your interests and schedule, you can participate in community discussions, tasks and surveys around various themes and city services. You can also sign up for individual or group events, such as interviews or user testing, where you get to be among the first to try new services.

About the city's customer community

For whom?

The community is open to all Helsinki residents over the age of 16. The community is in Finnish, Swedish and English – you choose the language you want to participate in. Participation is easy – join us!

Where and how?

Our community is a closed website where you log in with your individual username and password. Your username and password will be created when you sign up. The community operates under pseudonyms. Participation in the tasks is completely voluntary. We regularly run raffles of gift cards and Helsinki-themed items among members.

Who is behind the community?

The City of Helsinki’s design team is responsible for the community. In addition, the community includes city employees from various city functions.

The customer community started with the redesign of the Hel.fi website, but at the moment, its use is being extended to other city development. The tasks in the community are varied and can touch upon any city service, from recruiting to home care and from cultural centres to nature resorts.

If you have questions about the community or platform, feel free to contact us by sending a message to info@yhteiso.hel.fi(Link opens default mail program).

Questions regarding the customer-oriented development of Helsinki’s services can be sent to us by email at muotoilu@hel.fi(Link opens default mail program).
