Sustainable development

The City of Helsinki is active in pursuing sustainable development. This means that we invests in ecological, social and economic wellbeing and reinforce equality, non-discrimination and participation opportunities for our residents. Helsinki aims to be carbon neutral by 2030, and we are implementing the necessary changes to adapt to the changing climate and current energy situation.
