Explore summer activities

In the summer of 2025, we will offer a wide range of activities, particularly in the suburban regeneration areas. We will keep playgrounds and youth centres open, and organise engaging events in parks, squares and plazas. Workshops for children and young people will be held at cultural centres and libraries. You can also enjoy summer sports, such as urban dance. There will be fun summer moments for all ages. All events are free. The suburban regeneration areas are easily accessible by public transport. See what you can do in your own area!

Summer activities will be organised throughout the city. You can find here all of Helsinki's summer events. (Link leads to external service)

The playgrounds in the suburban regeneration areas will be open during the summer, offering fun and varied activities for schoolchildren and families, including guided activity sessions and various events in a safe environment. Free summer meals are also provided for children under 16 at the open playgrounds. The playground staff are there for the children and families. The playgrounds will be open on weekdays, the activities are free of charge and no registration is required.
