Helsinki’s status as a unique culinary destination has been selected as a key theme of the city’s tourism and event activities for the year 2024.
In 2024, Helsinki will be the scene of several major festivals and events revolving around food. One of the Finnish capital’s highlights in 2024 is guaranteed to be the ceremony unveiling the latest Nordic restaurants to be awarded MICHELIN Stars, hosted by the City of Helsinki on May 27. It is one of the world’s most famous food industry events and will be certain to gather the food industry’s top Nordic professionals to Helsinki.
Another event planned for the city’s food-themed year is a multi-week summer food festival, Feast Helsinki, which will offer restaurant, tourism and event industry representatives an excellent opportunity to showcase Helsinki's diverse food culture to not only the festival guests and media, but also to our most important audience: the city’s residents and visitors.

Our goal is to put together a tasty selection of delectable events and experiences that focus on great food and drinks. This is especially true for the Feast Helsinki food festival 24 May - 16 June, which will kick off Helsinki’s event-filled summer and tourist season in grand style.
