There are 27 dental clinics spread across the city, providing dental and oral health care services.

Our skilled professionals offer expert advice, dental check-ups, and various treatments to maintain your oral health. Additionally, we provide specialised care, including orthodontic treatments, to meet your specific needs and ensure your oral well-being.

Emergency dental care

We provide emergency dental care for adults on weekdays at the Oral and Dental Centre and Kalasatama Dental Clinic.

Dental check-ups

We perform dental check-ups based on the person’s individual care needs. Read more about dental check-ups for children and young people, adults, first-time parents, and the elderly.

Children and young people's dental care

We provide children and young people with dental care free of charge, up until the age of 18.

Orthodontic treatment

We specialise in orthodontic treatment for severe cases of malocclusion, addressing misalignments or incorrect positioning of teeth and jaw.

We provide dental and oral health care services at 27 dental clinics across the city.

Service voucher

You can use a service voucher to pay for services by private service providers.

Coming for a dental check-up?

Book an appointment by calling our customer service line. During the call, we will assess your treatment needs and urgency.

If you cannot attend your appointment, cancel or reschedule it via Maisa or by calling our client service line. Cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid a penalty fee.

We utilise a call-back system, so if we are unable to respond immediately, kindly leave us a call-back request Mon–Thu 7.00–16.00 and Fri 7.00–15.00, and we will get in touch with you. Once you've submitted a call-back request, you don't need to contact us in any other way. One call-back request is enough. We will call you back from a City of Helsinki service number beginning with +358 (0) 9 310 .

Our customer service line operates Mon–Thu 7.00–18.00 and Fri 7.00–15.00. We answer cancellation calls and call back throughout the opening hours.

Cancellation appointments for those with a booking

If appointments become available with the professional you have already booked, you may receive an automatic text message about a cancellation slot, allowing you to access care sooner.

Do you need to reschedule or cancel your booked appointment?

If you cannot attend the appointment, reschedule your appointment.
If you no longer need the appointment, cancel it.

Cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a penalty fee. This also allows us to offer the appointment to those in need and improve our services.Thank you for your cooperation!

A penalty fee is charged for unused appointments that have not been cancelled.

You can receive guidance on dental and oral health issues or ask about dental care services through the joint chat for health and social services. If needed, you can chat with a client service representative on weekdays from 8.00-15.00.

You can fill out the oral health symptom checker on the Omaolo website wherever and whenever. After filling out the symptom checker, you will be given reliable instructions for treating your ailment.

When necessary, you can use the symptom checker to get in touch with a dental care professional during weekdays and a referral to the emergency clinic in the evenings and at weekends.

Dental care services

How much does the dental care cost?

The dental care is free of charge for those under the age of 18.

We will charge a visiting fee for every visit to the dentist. In addition to the visiting fee, you will have to pay care-specific client fees. We also charge the dental laboratory's dental technology expenses as well as material expenses related to implant treatment.

A fee of €56.70 will be charged for unused and uncancelled appointments for persons over 18 years of age. Cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid a penalty fee.
