Autumn 2025 influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations for target groups

  • People aged 65 and over can book a vaccination appointment in Maisa (maisa.fi and the Maisa app) or by phone at +358 9 310 46300 on weekdays from 8.00–16.00 (no call-back service).
  • Booking for people under the age of 65 will open on 8 October at 9.00 in Maisa and at 8.00 by phone.

TBE vaccine, also known as the 'tick vaccine'
If you spend a lot of time in nature in certain areas in Helsinki, it is recommended that you get vaccinated against tick-borne encephalitis. In Helsinki, Karhusaari residents are offered the vaccine free of charge.

Free vaccinations for risk groups

Vaccinations under the national vaccination programme

Vaccinations for children and schoolchildren
Children and young people receive vaccinations under the national vaccination programme at maternity and child health clinics and through school health services.These vaccinations are free of charge and voluntary.
Vaccinations for students and young adults
The protection offered by childhood vaccinations is supplemented with booster shots when needed. Vaccinations are free of charge, but it is your responsibility to request them yourself.
Vaccinations for adults
As an adult, you are responsible for getting any necessary booster shots included in the national vaccination programme, such as the tetanus vaccine.These vaccinations are available free of charge at your health station by appointment.

Other vaccinations

Vaccinations for travellers
You can get the necessary travel vaccinations at your health station. The vaccine itself must be paid for, but the injection is free of charge. Please contact your health station well in advance of your trip.
