How can you move in with us, and how much does it cost?
You can move in with us following an assessment of your service needs. Find out more about how to apply for housing services for the elderly.
24-hour service housing covers the care and treatment you need, activities that support your functional capacity, services related to meals, laundry and clothes care, washing and cleaning, as well as services that promote participation and social interaction.
You pay rent as well as a monthly fee based on your net income, to cover the services included in the 24-hour service housing.

What is it like to live at the Tupasvilla Group Home?
At Tupasvilla, you can live your daily life in your own way. We take your individual abilities and needs into account, and provide help and support when you need them. We aim to support your functional capacity using a rehabilitative approach, and you can participate in the activities you wish.
We respect your privacy and your right of self-determination. You can participate in our joint activities whenever it suits you, or spend time by yourself.
Facilities and accessibility
The Tupasvilla Group Home is located on the third floor of the main building of the Riistavuori Senior Centre. You can use the lift to participate in the many kinds of events and visit the restaurant, for example. The yard is peaceful and verdant.
Your room – your home
Tupasvilla has rooms for 1–2 people, each with its own bathroom. You can bring your own furniture and your important belongings with you. This makes the environment feel familiar and safe.
Common areas
The common lounging room and dining areas allow you to spend time with the other residents and participate in joint activities. Your loved ones are also welcome to use the common areas.
Meals
You can enjoy your meals in the common dining area with the others or in your own room. We take your meal preferences and your individual needs into consideration.
Garden and local environment
You can spend time outdoors in the large and verdant garden surrounding the Riistavuori Senior Centre, and the surrounding area. The garden has safe routes and leisure areas. Our sensorimotor park allows you to activate your senses and practise your balance using different kinds of instruments and devices.
What is everyday life like with us?
Each morning starts with a breakfast together. During the day, you can participate in joint activities, meet the others, spend time outdoors or rest in your room. You will receive help and support for your daily actions where you need it.
You can participate in the group home’s activities or shared activities for the house when you feel up to it. The weekly programme is displayed on the wall of the day room.
Information for family members and loved ones
Your loved ones can visit you at their convenience, as we do not have set visiting hours. Your guests can spend time with you in your room or in the common areas. We prefer to reserve late evenings for evening routines.
We are well served by public transport. You can leave your car in the parking spaces by leaving your registration number at the information desk by the main entrance. There are also free parking spaces along the street.
Pets are welcome to visit you, but please arrange this with the staff in advance.
Your loved ones can also take you out for a walk or to visit friends and family. Please let the staff know in advance or when you leave.
