How can you move in with us, and how much does it cost?
You can move in with us following an assessment of your service needs. Find out more about how to apply for housing services for the elderly.
24-hour service housing covers the care and treatment you need, activities that support your functional capacity, services related to meals, laundry and clothes care, washing and cleaning, as well as services that promote participation and social interaction.
You pay rent as well as a monthly fee based on your net income, to cover the services included in the 24-hour service housing.

What is it like to live at Munkkiniemi?
At Munkkiniemi, you can live your daily life in your own way. We listen to you and take your wishes and abilities into account, and plan your daily routines together so that they feel natural for you.
We respect your privacy and your right of self-determination. You can participate in our joint activities whenever it suits you, or spend time by yourself.
Facilities and accessibility
Our facilities are located in residential buildings with lifts, among the verdant yard. We enjoy spending time outdoors and in the natural surroundings whenever weather permits.
Your room – your home
Our apartments are spacious, some over 60 m2, and some people share an apartment with another person. You can furnish it with your own furniture, textiles and important belongings, in order to make your environment feel safe and familiar.
Common areas
In the shared Tupa or Kammari dining and lounging areas of your building, you can spend time with the other residents or participate in joint activities.
Meals
You will enjoy your meals in Tupa or Kammari with the others, or in your own room. We take your meal preferences and your individual needs into consideration.
Mealtimes are pleasant and unhurried.
Garden and local environment
You can spend time outdoors in our own verdant and delightful yard. There are shops, cafés and other services nearby in Munkkiniemi.
What is everyday life like with us?
Your daily routine is tailored to suit your daily rhythm, and will include everyday activities, time for yourself and for rest, as well as joint activities, which you can participate in when you wish.

We organise regular community meetings. We discuss shared issues at the meetings, and you can also bring up your wishes there.
Information for family members and loved ones
Your loved ones can visit you at their convenience. We are well served by public transport. There are parking spaces in our yard, and there are also free streetside parking spaces nearby.
Your guests are welcome to spend time with you and participate in our shared activities and events. Please let us know if you leave the premises, so that we won’t be worried.
Your guests can also bring a pet with them. However, please arrange this with the staff and your housemate, if you have one.
