Communal housing refers to living in an apartment provided by the City of Helsinki. You pay rent for your apartment, and you can also arrange for separately charged services to be provided in your home, such as a meal service or medication-related services.
Find out more about communal housing.
24-hour service housing covers the care and treatment you need, activities that support your functional capacity, services related to meals, laundry and clothes care, washing and cleaning, as well as services that promote participation and social interaction.
You pay rent as well as a monthly fee based on your net income, to cover the services included in the 24-hour service housing.
At Kimnaasi, you can live your daily life in your own way. We will support you according to your needs and wishes. It is important that you and your loved ones tell us about your wishes and your abilities, so that we can support your life in a way that suits you. We respect your privacy and your right of self-determination.
If you are living in Kimnaasi as a 24-hour care client, you can participate in the exercise and cultural activities organised at the service home. As a communal living client, you can participate in the activities at the Puistola Service Centre. You are always welcome to join the shared activities. You can also spend time on your own when you wish.
