The Family Reception Unit is located in Ruoholahti, in an apartment block.
The unit can receive families at any time of day. The family reception unit has space for four families. Every family has their own room. There are only parking spaces subject to a parking fee near the unit.
During the assessment period, we will work with the family to determine their need for support. The work consists of individual and family meetings, joint record-keeping and observation of everyday life.
The assessment period focuses on the child and their family's current situation. It is important for the family to be actively involved in the work.
Our team includes the director, instructors, a nurse, an occupational therapist and a family therapist. The family therapist is available on Tuesdays.
The family, their loved ones, and the staff and authorities involved in the support network work together during the short-term placement. Our aim is to find the most appropriate support and assistance for the child and their family.
