Research, education, development and innovation operations, as well as teaching and competence development, are all linked to the continuous development of our services and knowledge management.

The abbreviation RDI refers to research, education, development and innovation operations, as well as teaching and competence management.

The principles of our RDI operations are the national objectives for health care and social welfare, the Helsinki city strategy and the service strategy of the social services, health care and rescue services division. We implement the RDI operations extensively throughout the division’s services, in cooperation with the City’s other operators and through regional cooperation in the Southern Finland and Uusimaa regions.

We carry out research cooperation with universities, institutions of higher education, competence centres, research institutes and various research networks. We also work together with the RDI network of bilingual wellbeing services counties as part of our research and development work in Swedish.
