The third dose of COVID-19 vaccination is now given to those 60-years-old and over and in groups who are susceptible to severe COVID-19 (at-risk groups 1 and 2). Appointments can be booked at coronavaccination-en.hel.fi or tel. 09 310 46300 (weekdays 8:00-16:00). You need to book an appointment to receive the third dose.
Residents of institutions and nursing homes will also receive the third vaccine dose. They will be vaccinated at their locations.
The third vaccine dose can be given no earlier than six months after the second dose of vaccine has been received. Therefore, please book the vaccination of the third dose at least six months after the second dose has been received.
For example, vaccinations for 80-84-year-olds began in Helsinki on 8 February 2021. Vaccinations of the third doses will begin in this age group on 3 November 2021.
Vaccination points will open for longer from 1 November onwards
The centralized vaccination points will be open Mon-Thu 8.15-18:00 and Fri 8.15-16:00 from 1 November onwards. The centralized vaccination points are located in Jätkäsaari, Kannelmäki, Myllypuro and Malmi. All the vaccination points and their opening hours can be seen at hel.fi/vaccination.
Influenza vaccinations also starting
Influenza vaccinations will begin on November 1. People at risk and those close to them can receive free influenza vaccinations. You can see the risk groups and the definition of people close to them here(Link leads to external service). You need to book an appointment to receive the influenza vaccination. The fastest way to book an appointment is to via influenzavaccination.hel.fi(Link leads to external service). You can also book an appointment by calling the appointment booking line, tel. 09 310 46300 (weekdays 8:00-16:00).
If you would like to take the seasonal influenza vaccination and third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at the same time, it is possible as long as six months have passed since the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccination has been received and you belong to groups who now get the third dose. In that case, it is enough to just book an influenza vaccination. There is, therefore, no need to set aside a separate time for the COVID-19 vaccination. Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations are given at the same vaccination points.

There is a congestion in the telephone appointment booking for COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations. We therefore recommend booking an appointment for the third COVID-19 vaccination and influenza vaccination online via coronavaccination-en.hel.fi and influenzavaccination.hel.fi(Link leads to external service).
