Schools on Christmas holiday from 23 December to 8 January

The Christmas holiday in Helsinki’s comprehensive schools and general upper secondary schools will start on Friday 23 December. The first day of school after the holiday will be Monday 9 January. Most Helsinki Vocational College and Adult Institute students will be on holiday from Christmas to New Year’s Day.

The Eduguidance advisory service for foreign-language families will be available to all customers during the Christmas holiday in Finnish and English at eduguidance@hel.fi(Link opens default mail program). International families can also book a phone appointment by email if they wish.

The service guidance for early childhood education advises on matters related to applying for early childhood or pre-primary education. During the Christmas holiday, the telephone service, tel. +358 9 310 80488, will be open on weekdays between 22 December and 5 January from 9:00 to 12:00. Työväenopisto and Arbis
