Helsinki's New Year celebrations attracted 75,000 visitors to Kansalaistori

The Helsinki New Year's Eve concert was the biggest concert of the year. The family event at the beginning of the evening attracted thousands of people and the late night’s big concert over 70,000 celebrants on the event site. Instead of fireworks, the citizens were treated to a spectacular pyroshow in the event area.

The City of Helsinki invited the citizens to celebrate the turn of the year with a grand event at the Kansalaistori. The evening's programme was divided into a Skidit disco for families with children at the beginning of the evening and and a late night's big concert. The star of 2023, Käärijä, shared the midnight moment with the celebrants. The turn of year was crowned by a pyrotechnic show with effects reaching over 70 meters in the areas of Kansalaistori and Töölönlahti Event Park.

The City of Helsinki organises the new year celebrations, which have taken place since the
1930s and have become a tradition. Helsinki Event Foundation is responsible for the event
production.
