80.2 per cent of residents of Helsinki aged 12-years-old and over have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine. 85.9 per cent of 12-year-olds in Helsinki have received the first dose. Nationwide, vaccination coverage in the 12-year-old population is 85 percent for the first dose and 78 percent for the second.

“Now is a time for gratitude. Thank you the residents of Helsinki. We have reached an important milestone in vaccination coverage. However, we cannot yet be satisfied with this. The better vaccination coverage we get, the more normal our daily routines will become. This is what we all await,” says Mayor Juhana Vartiainen.

“I still encourage all those who have not been vaccinated yet, but can take the vaccine, to get it. Let's protect our loved ones and ourselves,” Vartiainen adds.

Vaccinations are available in Helsinki from four vaccination points in Jätkäsaari, Kannelmäki, Malmi and Myllypuro. In addition to vaccination points, there are also pop-up points all over Helsinki.
