The Service Strategy for the Social Services, Health Care and Rescue Services Division aims to ensure that Helsinki residents receive the services they need in a personalised, timely and effective manner. The aim is to make access to our services smoother and improve continuity of care.
– What matters to us is our customers' experience of the availability of our services and whether the services meet their needs, says Head of Division Juha Jolkkonen.
We make sure that we have competent staff and balance our finances. We are preparing to be able to provide essential services in all circumstances.
– We use the money allocated to us effectively and responsibly. This will ensure that Helsinki residents receive the best possible social welfare, health care and rescue services with the financial, human and other resources available in Helsinki," says Juha Jolkkonen.
What is the Service Strategy of the Social Services, Health Care and Rescue Services Division?
- Together with the Helsinki City Strategy, the Service Strategy serves as the starting point for planning the activities of the Social Services, Health Care and Rescue Services Division.
- The Service Strategy contains the long-term objectives and policies of the social services, health care and rescue services whose organisation would be the responsibility of the wellbeing services county, as well as the objectives for the implementation of the services. The rescue services are also steered by the decision on the level and standard of rescue services made by the City Council.
- The Service Strategy will be implemented as part of the day-to-day work and management of the division.
