- individuals aged 12 and above with severe immunodeficiency.
Vaccinations for home care clients with reduced mobility will start on the week beginning Monday 9 October 2023. Other home care clients, who are able to visit a vaccination point, will be vaccinated together with other municipality residents from 6 November onwards.
We recommend the vaccines to high-risk groups
Vaccines reduce the risk of severe illness, the need for hospitalisation, and fatalities linked to infections. Simultaneous influenza and coronavirus infections may increase the risk of severe illness.
Influenza and coronavirus vaccines in one go
If you belong to the target groups of both vaccines, you will receive the influenza and coronavirus vaccines simultaneously. In this case you only need to book one vaccination appointment. Please do not book two appointments unnecessarily. Make sure to cancel your vaccination appointment if necessary.
We will provide more information about vaccination groups and points and the appointment process later. More detailed information regarding late autumn vaccinations will be published in mid-October at hel.fi/vaccinations(Link leads to external service).
Article was updated 26 October at 8:30: The appointment booking opens on 26 October in the afternoon.
