The paving stones in the middle of the pedestrian lane in Kaisantunneli tunnel running below the Central Railway Station will be reinstalled. The work will start at the end of October and is expected to last two months.
The attachment of the paving stones has been impacted by the equipment used for cleaning. The stones will now be reattached more firmly.
The work will be carried out in stages, and access through the tunnel will be maintained throughout. The pedestrian lane will have to be narrowed at the work area.
In order for the work to be successful, the temperature must not drop below five degrees Celsius during the repair.
