The campaign will run from 8 to 14 April, during which time it will be visible in outdoor advertising, on social media and at the City’s own service locations, sports halls and Alepa and Alko shops. The aim of the campaign is to increase the visibility of the City’s service centres for seniors and the unemployed and attract new clients.
“The numbers of clients of the City’s service centres declined during COVID-19 restrictions and have not recovered despite the centres offering plenty of appealing activities and support for different life situations. I think that service centres should be as well known as a service as daycare centres or health stations,” says Maarit Ajalin, the project manager of the campaign.
Service centres are open meeting places for pensioners and unemployed people in Helsinki looking for someone to talk to, something to do or support in their everyday lives. There are a total of 15 service centres located in different parts of Helsinki.
Each service centre offers activities, events, peer support and counselling and features a lunch restaurant and gym. You can visit the service centres and explore their activities without advance registration.
You can participate in the campaign by downloading printable campaign posters in A3 and A4 size here. You can display the posters for as long as you like.
