Helsinki-based professional artists from various fields have been working in the three-storey main building on Harakka island since 1989. Today, the building is even called the Artists' House. The Artists’ House has a total of thirty studios, ten of which will now become available for rent when their fixed-term leases come to an end. The studios are primarily intended for Helsinki-based visual artists and artisans. The premises come as furnished and the rental term is five years.
The studios range in size from 13 m² to 39.5 m². The rooms rent for €7.25/m² and some of them are rented together in pairs or in groups of three. The new leases will be for five years, starting from the beginning of June 2026. More information about the facilities and how to get to the island is available on the City's website.
Applicants will have the opportunity to visit the island, weather permitting. If you would like to see the island and the studios, please contact the Island Caretaker and ask for a tour. If you are interested, please send your online application no later than Friday 3 April 2026 by 16.00.
