Helsinki aims to end long-term homelessness
This year, Helsinki launched a project to end long-term homelessness. The project also seeks to create conditions that prevent long-term homelessness in the future while improving the wellbeing and inclusion of people experiencing it.
The Ending Long-term Homelessness in Helsinki project is part of the Ministry of the Environment’s national homelessness programme, which aims to achieve lasting reductions in the number of unhoused people in Finland.
Ending homelessness is also included in the City of Helsinki’s new City Strategy.

In the evenings and on weekends, you can go directly to the emergency accommodation on Kornetintie.
