The demolition of the solid concrete building, as well as the loading operations of the demolition waste, will inevitably generate noise and sometimes also potentially some dust. Particle levels are measured and dust is prevented effectively by watering the site.
The work is carried out four days a week, from Monday to Thursday. The noisiest works are scheduled to cause as little disruption as possible in the daily life of the neighbourhood. Loud work is put on hold during the afternoons, for example, to give the local daycare centre some quiet time outside. The noisiest work phase, drilling of the pillars, will also go faster, as the machines used will be more powerful.
In the future, the site will feature a swimming and sports centre that the local residents have long been waiting for. Its construction is estimated to start in 2026. The centre’s plans include a 50-metre swimming pool, a water play area and ball game halls.
