The long-awaited new comprehensive school and daycare building is coming to Vartiokylä. Its construction will start with fencing the site and the earthworks in December. The estimated duration of the project is two years, allowing the school and the daycare centre to begin their spring semester 2028 in the new premises.
The work will start with fencing and earthworks on the site. People near the site should be aware of the increased traffic in the area. The work will also generate some noise: the site workers will strive to carry out the loudest work stages during office hours.
Bus stop to be moved
The bus stop at Kiviportintie 10 will be temporarily relocated to ensure the smooth flow of site traffic and to avoid any potential risks. The bus stop will be moved towards Itäväylä to the most convenient location, about 100 metres from the current location.
Jatke Toimitilat Oy has been selected as the contractor for the project.
