Helsinki City Museum's photograph collection contains close to a million photos of Helsinki and the everyday lives of its residents from the 1860s to the present day. The collection offers a unique view of the city's history, landscapes, people and life during different eras.
The images can be browsed for free in the museum's Picture Browsery or in the national Finna.fi service. You can also order pictures for your own use by paying a digitisation fee. The service is open to everyone and suitable for research, education, communications and personal use.
