Museum exhibitions

Helsinki City Museum's five museums offer exhibitions, history and urban culture for visitors of all ages.

Helsinki City Museum and its affiliated museums organise temporary and permanent exhibitions that explore the city's history, everyday life and cultural heritage from various perspectives. The exhibitions combine photographs, objects, spatial experiences and interactive content. The museum exhibitions invite people of all ages to explore the city's past and present, and offer insights for locals and tourists alike. Admission to many of the exhibitions is free.

Helsinki City Museum has exhibitions on Helsinki's past and present in the City Museum, Villa Hakasalmi, the Burgher's House Museum, the Worker's Museum and the Tram Museum. The City Museum has three exhibition spaces: The Children's Town, the main exhibition on the 2nd floor and temporary exhibitions on the 4th floor on topical themes.
