In the summer, a project to renovate the main building of Pitäjänmäki Comprehensive School at Viinenkuja 6 and build two new buildings to replace the existing extension will start in Pitäjänmäki.
The buildings will have around 50% more space than at present, and the number of pupils will increase accordingly. The multi-purpose building will house the 680-pupil Pitäjänmäki Comprehensive School and Daycare Taneli with space for 224 children. The Pitäjänmäki Library and Youth Centre will also continue their operations in the premises.
Special attention will be paid to hearing accessibility in the design and implementation of the buildings.
