The Uimastadion Swimming Stadium opening ceremony on Sunday, 10 May, will feature a celebratory programme from 9.00 to 13.00. The first hundred customers will be treated to a free cup of coffee, and visitors can enjoy beats created by the Tiivistämö DJ Academy(Link leads to external service), who will spin records from the opening of the gates until 13.00.
From 10.00 onwards, you can take part in a free flower workshop with Hupsansaa ry hosting a ‘Kukkabuffet’ flower buffet workshop at the stadium for all those who wish to attend. In the workshop, participants will be able to create floral decorations and bouquets. The buffet menu includes colourful cut flowers, lush decorations and a touch of sparkle. Delight yourself with floral arrangements or give them as a gift to your mother or friend. Come by the workshop to spend a leisurely moment with flowers and derive some joy from flowers to celebrate spring or Mother's Day. The flower buffet lasts until 12.30, or for as long as there are flowers left.
The opening day programme also includes deep water diving, which is included in the admission fee, at 10.00 and 12.00. The water exercise sessions at the swimming stadium can accommodate 50 participants. There is also a bouncy castle and a balance track for children.

The Kumpula Outdoor Swimming Pool opening ceremony will be held on Monday, 25 May, when the gates of the outdoor swimming pool will open at 9.00. In Kumpula, the first 100 customers will also receive a free cup of coffee from the café of the outdoor swimming pool. DJ RNo will create the perfect soundscape for the opening ceremony with two sets of music between 9.00–11.00 and 13.00–15.00.
A free water exercise session will be held at 10.00, and a free aqua jogging instruction session will be held at 12.00. The water exercise and aqua jogging instruction sessions at Kumpula can accommodate up to 35 participants. Children can play on a free bouncy castle in Kumpula, as well.

The outdoor swimming pools are particularly popular on the hottest of summer days. You can check the real-time visitor counters to see how many people are currently using the facilities and what the maximum customer capacity of each outdoor swimming pool is.

Season and multi-visit passes available for outdoor pools
The price for a single visit to outdoor pools in Helsinki is €6 for adults and €3.30 for children (7–17 years) and discount groups.
Outdoor pools also sell season and multi-visit passes, which are loaded onto a ‘Helsinki liikkuu’ customer card. A season pass for the outdoor pool costs €144 for adults and €78 for children and discount groups. You can buy outdoor swimming pool passes even before the opening of the outdoor pools at Itäkeskus, Jakomäki, Pirkkola and Yrjönkatu Swimming Halls, Töölö Sports Hall, Liikuntamylly and Latokartano Sports Hall. The season pass is valid from 10 May to 11 September 2026, and it will provide access to both the Uimastadion Swimming Stadium and the Kumpula Outdoor Swimming Pool. During the outdoor pool season, outdoor pool passes can be used not only at the outdoor pools but also at any sports services location (1 visit per day).
Passes containing ten visits to outdoor pools and monthly passes (valid for 30 days) loaded onto the ‘Helsinki liikkuu’ customer card cost €50 for adults and €27 for children and discount groups.
