In order to design the facilities to meet the needs of their users, we want to give all current and future users of the hall the chance to help design the new facilities. So now we invite you all – rookie wingbacks of children’s football, avid coin shift players, national team level MVPs, coaches, equipment managers, guardians and anyone spending time at the hall – to join us and the designers in workshops at Tali Football Hall to talk about its future!
Workshop times
- Tue 30 December 2025, 9.30–13.00
- Mon 19 January 2026, 16.00–20.00
- Thu 22 January 2026, 9.00–13.00
The workshop will discuss e.g. how the new facilities at Tali Football Hall could better support the operations of clubs and teams, and what practical issues need to be taken into account in the design of these facilities to ensure that everyday activities, including even the toughest training sessions and tournaments, run smoothly and safely. The workshop will be organised by Koko3, a design agency responsible for the building’s facility, interior and signage design.
Tali Football Hall serves a diverse range of users: Finnish national football teams from ‘Huuhkajat to Helmarit’ and junior national teams, sports and exercise clubs and associations, adults, children and young people, and their maintenance teams. The football hall is not only a sports facility, but also an important meeting place that hosts a range of games, tournaments and other sports and sports-related events.
After the renovation, the aim is to both retain the user groups described above and to encourage new people to take up sports. Promoting physical activity of children and young people has been taken into account in the design of the facilities by considering the needs of young people during, before and after training sessions. In this way, the facilities will better support the wellbeing of citizens and promote a sense of comfort and active community. The renovation is expected to be completed in autumn 2027.
Estimated timetable for the renovation
