The City of Helsinki wants to develop the pleasantness and use of marketplaces and squares in the coming years. At the end of this decade, the plan is also to initiate the planning of reforms concerning Kampintori square, for which the City is now hoping to receive ideas and suggestions from the area’s users and business owners.

The City itself sees Kampintori square as having a future as an appealing everyday stopping point that could serve as a venue for events or small-scale retail and cultural activities, for example. The area could be livened up with more plants, hangout areas and environmental art, for example. The City is also exploring the possibilities of modifying traffic arrangements in the area and improving pedestrian traffic and lighting in the square.

You can respond to the survey until the end of November. Responding will take approximately 5–10 minutes.
